Let’s talk about one of my real life phobias, which as of now, I think I have officially overcome: baking. I really think I have developed a small baking skill set that can carry me through most recipes. I am most likely going to have to change my “about me” page. I have never made a pie crust, per se. I have made empanadas. When thinking about what pie crust recipe to use for this gem of a recipe, a light bulb went on. Duh! Empanadas have a flaky crust just like a pie! So, even though I have yet to make a pie for myself or for the blog, I have made pie crust. Kale. Let’s discuss. It is all the rage these days. I made kale chips, and I have to say…. Not a huge fan. If you love them, cool. I am not arguing if they are good or bad. Just sayin’ for me, right here, not a fan. Definitely an acquired taste. I do like kale in salads or as a side dish with some garlic.
