Stewed cabbage is a simple and tasty side dish. I decided to diversify the usual taste of cabbage a little by adding smoked brisket and hunting sausages to the vegetables. Thanks to this, the side dish turned into a hearty and flavorful main course. It can be prepared from available ingredients without much effort. Stewed cabbage with brisket and hunting sausages in a slow cooker turns out especially juicy and tender. The stewing temperature does not exceed 100 degrees, so the ingredients do not boil over and taste like a dish from a pot.
Ingredients
- White cabbage - 600 g.
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Tomato juice - 200 ml.
- Hunter sausages - 200 g.
- Smoked brisket - 200 g.
- Vegetable oil - 75 ml.
- Dill - 3 sprigs.
- Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- Black allspice - 3 peas.
- Ground black pepper - 0.25 tsp.
- Ground paprika - 0.25 tsp.
- Khmeli-suneli - 0.25 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
Cooking steps
Step 1:
Peel the onion, cut into medium-sized cubes. Wash the carrots, peel them, and grate them on a coarse grater.
Step 2:
Turn on the multicooker to the "Frying" mode for 15 minutes. Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, wait until it heats up. Put the chopped onion into the bowl. Stirring occasionally, fry the vegetables until lightly golden.
Step 3:
Cut the hunting sausages into 3 mm thick rings and the smoked brisket into thin slices.
Step 4:
Add the chopped meat products to the onions. Stirring, fry the ingredients together for 5 minutes.
Step 5:
Then add the grated carrots to the multicooker bowl.
Step 6:
Stir, continue frying the vegetables with the brisket and sausages until the end of the program.
Step 7:
Chop the white cabbage into thin strips. It is convenient to use a food processor or a special shredder for this purpose.
Step 8:
Add the cabbage to the remaining ingredients. Stir. Close the lid of the multicooker, turn on the "Stewing" mode for 40 minutes. Without adding water, stew the cabbage for 10 minutes.
Step 9:
Then pour tomato juice into the multicooker bowl, add salt and spices to taste. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, close the lid and continue to stew the cabbage with brisket and sausages until the end of the program.
Step 10:
After 40 minutes, the aromatic, tasty and juicy stewed cabbage with brisket and hunting sausages will be ready.
Step 11:
Decorate it with fresh dill and serve hot as a main dish.
