Fall chopped salad

I am all for trying new things. Granted, maybe 1 out of ten times, those new things end very badly, do not go how you planned, or have you embarrassed out of your mind. The following story is a true life account about how trying new things can go wrong. When I was in the 8th grade, I got this crazy idea that I wanted to try and learn karate. Lucky enough for me, I was able to talk my best friend into doing it too. We signed up for a beginner class through the park district, sat back, and waited for the first day of class. Her mom dropped us off at the first day of class. We walked in and felt like we were in the twilight zone. We stood at the door of the class and gave each other a “What the what!” look. Every other person in the class was under the age of nine!!! Was this some kind of mistake? Nope, this was the beginner class.
