Whenever I buy expensive shoes or bags, I just tell myself that they’re such great quality that I’ll be able to give them to my future daughter. Who knows if that’s true, but I do suggest telling yourself that.  It makes the sting of anything remotely expensive feel a little less tingly. I do this same thing with fancy cookware.  It’s a good technique.  I have a gorgeous set of All-Clad cookware in my kitchen, that I surprisingly found on Craigslist from some dude who was gifted the set from his mom. He couldn’t pay rent, and didn’t cook so he was selling it brand new, never used …
