Grandma’s fresh apple custard pie

This is my grandmothers old recipe, and according to many in my family, it's the BEST APPLE PIE YOU WILL EVER TASTE. I know the sour cream in the recipe seems odd, but we're German and everything has sour cream in it. (Unless it is pickled or fried ... and still sometimes even if it is fried.)
