This recipe makes a light and delicious finish to a meal, especially a rich holiday feast. The pears turn a beautiful burgundy color, and your home will be filled with the most delicious scents! The recipe was shared by the waiter at a hotel where we often had celebratory lunches, when I worked in Palo Alto, CA. When and if we ever had time to get dessert, this is what I would order every time!
