Lucky for me, my best friend is from Brazil! She has lots of great recipes and came over to share some yummy, authentic goodness with me. She whipped out a Brazilian favorite, Pasteis (plural for Pastel). I've been craving it ever since and can't wait to make it again! There are lots of variations of fillings for the pastel: bananas (with cinnamon and sugar), cheese, heart of palms, shrimp, etc.
