These are a wonderful, quick English/Australian dessert, great for when friends unexpectedly drop in! My Aussie friend Christina, who now lives in Idaho, tells me she found Golden Syrup in the ethnic aisle of the supermarket, which I think is an absolute hoot! Anyway, hopefully you, too, can find some, because you're sure to love this super easy, hearty, smile-inducing dessert!
