Brown sugar chocolate chip cookies

I was always told that my brother's ex-wife brought one good thing into our family: this Chocolate Chip recipe. Ha! Really though, one of the best cookie recipes I've tried, and I've tried many. The extra brown sugar and vanilla leave these cookies soft and chewy for days (if they last that long!).
