A tourtière is a meat pie originating from Quebec. It's usually made with minced pork and/or veal, or beef. It is a traditional part of the Christmas and/or Christmas Eve réveillon and New Year's Eve meal in Quebec. But it is also enjoyed and sold in grocery stores all year long. (Wikipedia) We make this pie in my family at any time of the year! You can also brown the meat if you prefer but boiling keeps it moist and tasty.
