I love a chicken salad sandwich and there are as many variations as there are cooks. I usually make a pretty standard chicken salad recipe. You know the one ... chicken, celery, sometimes grapes or pecans. A favorite of mine for sure. But I wanted to do something different using what I had on hand. The light bulb went on when I saw the apples in my crisper. I immediately thought of the Waldorf salad.
