These homemade soft pretzels are as good (in my humble opinion) as Auntie Anne's pretzels. Not as greasy (though you can add more butter according to each person's preference) and super easy to make. It's your basic bread prep method plus a few extra steps like shaping your dough into pretzels and dipping them into a baking soda/water mixture. Then just bake them as you would bread.
