Gingerbread scones with lemon glaze

Gingerbread in all of its forms makes me so happy this time of year. To have an excuse to essentially eat a giant gingerbread cookie for breakfast, I turned it into a scone. This dough is flavored with all of the classic gingerbread spices and studded with candied ginger for texture and an extra punch of ginger flavor. And of course, you need molasses for that quintessential color. Lemon glaze and demerara top these off.
