My husband and I found ourselves with a whopping $8 and no food until the next day. I decided to go to the local grocery store and see what I could find for dinner. Ten minutes and $5 later, I had the ingredients for tortas--and we've been eating them ever since. Especially when we're down to the last of our money. <br /> <br />You can find bollilo rolls at most supermarkets, at least here in California. If you can't find them, check your local Mexican store, or just substitute a good sandwich roll. You can even use slices of bread (if you absolutely must :) ) The Miracle Whip adds a faint sweetness here that compliments the tomato, and the avocado gives it a delicious, creamy texture. Seriously good eats!
