This simple marinade isn't a knock your socks off kind of recipe. I'm entering it because it is so useful to know about. I feel that most successful tofu recipes are a little sweet and a little salty, which this is. I'm not a vegetarian, but have many vegetarian friends and I myself don't eat meat too often (though when I do, I love it). I use this tofu over many dishes when I want a tasty protein. For example, I'm serving it over last weeks winner, "one night in Bangkok" this evening. I've been making the marinade forever--originally using it with chicken, but more recently for tofu. It came from my mom, and where she got it, I don't know. I certainly didn't create the marinade, and would love to give credit, if anyone does know where it came from.
