  Here's a sweet treat I made for the first time recently, when I had about 1/2 cup of orange-flavored syrup left over from making candied orange peel. I've been known to stir a bit of homemade almond syrup into a mug of hot milk, with a shot of rum or bourbon, late in the evening, or when I've just come back from a hike on a cold day in the winter. This is just another variation.
