The project gemini (spicy basil margarita with cointreau)

“Houston, we have a fresh take on the margarita.” Inspired by 2018’s <em>First Man</em>, starring Ryan Gosling as astronaut Neil Armstrong, this almost alien-green margarita gets an herbal twist thanks to basil, plus a hint of spice from the muddled jalapeño. The name for the cocktail, Project Gemini, comes from NASA’s second human spaceflight program in the 1960s, in which Armstrong played a pivotal role before landing on the moon as commander of Apollo 11.
