Spicy quail eggs in a nest

I like quail eggs. They taste better since they have a bigger yolk to white ratio. But that’s not the top reason. You do see the various speckled patterns on the egg shell right? I’m a bit drawn to that. Be creative and create your own nest :) Recipe adapted from 虎皮鹌鹑蛋 (http://www.xiachufang.com/recipe/248938/) without the deep-frying and wood ear mushroom.
