Adapted from Amanda Hesser's Peach Tart, this refreshing warm-weather dessert reunites peaches with a tried-and-true companion: cream. The mascarpone filling is lightly sweetened with honey and brightened by lemon zest, heightening the subtle sweet-tartness of the stone fruit, while a double-dose of almond flavor adds depth to the creamy filling. This tart forgoes the crumble topping of Amanda's original recipe for a simple honey drizzle, but I suspect a sprinkle of slivered and toasted almonds would be a welcome finish.
