Mango lassi is a classic Indian drink and I wanted to convert it into a cupcake. A tender vanilla cupcake is elevated with a gentle dose of freshly ground cardamom and the silky buttercream icing is spiked with Alphonso mango puree, evoking the authentic taste of a lassi (other mangoes just aren't the right flavor). The result: a cupcake even my mom - the self-avowed dessert hater - can love.
