Linzer cookies

I wanted to make linzer cookies and was feeling experimental, so I decided to wing it with this recipe. I knew there was cinnamon, fruit preserves, and almonds involved, so I ran with that. Happily, the result was a hit! I am a sucker for baked goods that are more savory, so I only used a little bit of sugar and gave a little extra salt. I also sneaked in a little whole wheat flour to make them healthier (I promise they don't taste...healthy). I used a mixed-berry conserve to fill these cookies, which was very tasty!
