Besides this being a very simple recipe, this has turned out to be our most favorite way of enjoying asparagus. Whenever our daughter would stop by for dinner and if we had asparagus on hand, she would always make this dish (or someting very close to it since she did not have a written recipe for this). I think one of the reasons we enjoy this so much is that you get the true flavor of the main ingredient (and of course the garlic as well, however, I feel the garlic enhances the asparagus spring flavor).
