The first time I made a Tarte Tatin was this past summer with a friend from Grand Rapids, MI. We had both seen the sweet Tomato Tarte Tatin recipe featured in the August 2010 Bon Appétit magazine, and we adapted it into this earthy and savory version that uses an assortment of greens in place of tomatoes.
