These macaroons are my go to hostess gift--I bring them to Thanksgiving, Easter, dinner parties, weekend trips, etc. These cookies don't keep well, and can't be mailed, so if a friend or relative receives them as a gift it means we've had a wonderful evening or weekend together, and I think that makes them all the more special.
