I have this almost unexplainable excitement over certain foods. Foods that remind me of that remind me of something I loved so much as a child. Like a certain soup. A soup that came {gasp} from a can. When I ran across a recipe that somebody had copied from a calendar (of all places), I decided to change it up and adapt it to taste like a grown-up version of the Chicken Corn Chowder I adored as a child...only better. Plus, it's still kid-friendly and will be the one my kids remember when they are adults.
