It’s really hard for them to imagine a meal without meat or cheese. It’s that extra fat and salt that their brain is looking for. It’s the things they are addicted to. All of that happens unconsciously and for you it’s just a routine. The brain controls your needs. You need to teach your brain what good food is and to start taking the right decisions.
