The cabinets are in. The appliances are installed. The gorgeous granite is in place. The lights are hooked up. We once again have running water and electricity in the kitchen, which I will never ever take for granted again. The next stop? The Sanding, Staining and Sealing of the Floors. Now mind you, I knew this part was coming, and for some reason I thought this was going to be a minor blip in comparison to the cabinet rip-out and the new cabinets being put in place and the appliances arriving and so on. Which goes to show you what I knew about flooring work, which was Absolutely Nothing. Welcome to the most chaotic part of this whole project!
